All this innovation that creates better performing and more enjoyable kayaks is due to the creativity, effort and dedication of Riots R&D and worldwide renowned Pro Paddler team members.

Extreme testing fields combined with the best manufacturing technology and better components ensures that any Riot Kayaks regardless if it is for extreme touring expedition, breathtaking creek first descent or even a memorable fishing trip guarantees that its always a Riot.

Because of its quality and innovation Riot Kayaks has received rare reviews from all the specialized magazines in its industry. Furthermore, Riot even received the Paddlers Pick Editors Award for its Brittany and also Outside Magazines Gear of the Year mention for its Touring and Whitewater kayaks. These awards are only one of the few that the company has earned throughout its short history. What explains all this success is simply the fact that the company is owned and operated by kayakists who develop kayaks for kayakists.

Over the past 10 years, Riot has evolved from a strictly Whitewater company to the most extensive and comprehensive kayak manufacturer in the world. The 2007 line-up guaranties that there is a Riot Kayak that will meet and exceed your needs and expectations. From Recreational kayaks, to the highest performing Cross Max™ Touring Kayaks, and from Cross Light™ day touring kayaks, to Bio-Fusion™ composite expeditions sea kayaks. All Riot Kayaks are continuously tested and improved.

Riot pushes the limits of design and materials. Not always with a breakthrough in the advancement of the sport, but always in an effort to take our kayaks where no one else has gone before.

One of Riots biggest innovations, in 2004, was the Cross Max ™ process. Since then, all Riot Whitewater kayaks have been produced with this innovative technology. By using only the highest density metallocene grade of polyethylene, Cross Max™ produces stiffer lighter, tougher and nicer kayaks! Furthermore, the process mixes design and precise thickness monitoring to provide strength and rigidity where needed, while reducing the amount of polyethylene required in non-stressed areas of the kayak. This optimization of the polyethylene’s repartition increases performance, maintains shape and keeps the weight of our kayaks to a minimum. Riots Cross Light™ kayaks combine the clean, rigid hull and deck shapes of composite kayaks with the durability and strength of polyethylene. Cross Light™ is a vacuum thermoforming technology consisting in forming a sheet of ABS-acrylic into a hull and stands up to years of use on the water and maintains the same performance level as the day it first touched water. Riots Bio-Fusion™ process allows for the perfect amount of resin to be injected into the mold, to adequately impregnate the fiber and its Carbon reinforcements strategically located in stress prone areas. Kevlar tips also reinforce the bow and stern. Bio-fusion™ produces the lightest, strongest and most rigid, environmentally friendly, composite kayaks available.

Lay your eyes on our kayaks and you will see that each feature, hull design, and cockpit management component is well thought-out. Riot is committed to giving paddlers what they should get with the advancement in kayak manufacturing technologies, so Riot you provides for more performance…more efficiency…and more comfort. Paddle a Riot today and you will find that the end result of all this R&D and this obsession with quality is that it is always more than fun... it’s a Riot!
